From field to frame

A look behind the scenes at the slow, intentional artistry of Forage & Press

Process & materials

Rooted in Nature & Guided by Intention

Each Forage & Press piece is created with deep care—from the wildflowers gathered to the materials chosen. The work is shaped by a commitment to craft, sustainability, and the quiet beauty of the natural world.

The Foraging

It all begins with a walk. Flowers, leaves, and botanical treasures are gathered from Maine’s fields, forests, and gardens—always with care and never in excess. Every gathering is done mindfully, allowing nature to thrive.

The Pressing

Each botanical is hand-pressed over several weeks, preserving natural color, shape, and texture. Some are pressed in antique wooden flower presses, others between layered paper and weighted books.

The Composition

Once dried, every element is arranged into collage by hand—using archival adhesives, precision and intuition. Each piece reflects balance, wildness, and a sense of place.

“Each piece is a small act of preservation—a celebration of wild beauty and a gentle reminder to slow down.”

Archival Quality

Giclée prints are made with museum-grade cotton watercolor paper and archival inks for long-lasting color and texture.
